Aston Martin is THE car brand to buy if you want to feel smug, even when surrounded by zondas and lambos. You can drive past BMW’s, Benzes and the like, without even glancing at them, it makes you feel so smug and superior. They can challenge you to a race, and probably win… But the whole point of such gorgeous cars is to go slow enough to let the crowd delight in every curve. Prestige, power, beauty, soul, exclusivity, and even practicality. Aston Martin.

The only thing i dont like about this car is the seats.. they should make an option available to have sports seats or nice huge comfort seats. Ruins the look of the car for me really.
@tmat04 – yes, I’ve sat in a Vantage V8 – and it was awesome. The smell of the leather, the stitching, the seating position – incredible. I see many DB9 Astons here (saw a midnight bluish one moving along slowly in afternoon traffic yesterday, very lovely, deep sound), although I don’t reckon I’ve seen the DBS in person. Hard to choose between them! But the Vantage is a right small beauty. Also been in the R8, and I agree it is stunning. The SLS has a few angles that leave me a small cold, lol.

Have u ever seen the Vantage V8 in person? Everyone online is talking about how excellent it looks, as well as the DB9 and DBS. So, what do u reckon? At the Detroit show I also saw the new MB SLS Gullwing and the Audi RV V10. I thought the R8 was much better looking than the Gullwing. But I would have loved to be able to see it in comparison to the Aston sports cars and also the Alfa Romeo 8c, none of which was there. So please tell me what u reckon.
@tmat04 – I have to say – even yesterday I was kinda thinkin, the new e-class seems…classier? than the new 5-series (although we know that the Beemer is probably a more sporty drive). I hope you spot an Aston sometime soon, they are just…exhilirating! Lol.

I know your point. I would have prefer the new MB E63 AMG over the BMW M5 u mentioned, though. I saw that car at the 2010 Detroit Auto Show, and, although some might argue that the CLS 63 AMG looks better, this car still looks very excellent and sounds better than any sedan MB has ever made; not to mention the speed. It was a very excellent show, but I was disappointed that I was unable to see the new Rapide because Aston Martin was not there. I have never seen any Aston in person.
@tmat04 I have to agree that they could have made it quicker than the cars you mentioned, which I reckon it should be. But given the fact that I will probably not always be racing drivers of these cars, I reckon the beauty and sound of the car can allow me to forgive it for being a bit slower
I reckon I would still delight in the Rapide more every day. Or if i had the money, I’d buy the Rapide and the new F10 M5 that’s coming soon (find the group and see the pictures on Facebook

The Rapide is a gorgeous car. But I would prefer to spend some extra grand and get the Ghost. It is also gorgeous, and is quicker, despite being larger and heavier than the Rapide. Aston should have given this car 500 or more horses, considering it’s price in the world of sports sedan. Owners of MB CLS 63 AMG, E63 AMG, BMW M5 and Porsche Panamera, can all say the can go quicker than the Rapide.

@tmat04 They both look fantastic, but the Rapide is the perfect car for “Sporty Gentlemen” with too much money to carry.. Slap in a hot wife and two kids and you will be rolling with ease to the alps
Yes! But given the amount of money you would have paid by the time this car is delivered to you; honestly, I would have preferred a Rolls Royce Ghost! It is also excellent looking, and has a nicer and more comfortable interior! What do you reckon?

But can’t use it in the winter; no way in hell would i risk putting skiis and snowboards on the roof, or even because it would alot dirtier in the snow.

So it’s this, the Porsche Panamera, the Maserati Quattroporte and the Lambo Estoque. I’ll take a Rapide.
It looks to be very practical for everyday use.

because i raced one down a highway , and it wasn’t what i expected :/ i thought it would take off on me, but i was head on the DB9 with my 350z going nearly 160 mph.
i hope it was only the driver and not the car that sucked.
